Harvest 2025
Dear wine lover,
The 2025 wine year can undoubtedly be called an absolutely top year. After a challenging 2024, in which late night frost severely limited our yield, we were blessed with a particularly favourable growing season this year. Thanks to a spring without frost damage, our vines were able to flourish, something for which we are extremely grateful. This means that we will be able to serve you, our loyal customers, even better in the coming year.
Spring started warm and vigorous. The vines came out early, with beautiful and regular flowering, which laid the foundation for healthy, high-quality bunches. The summer was then exceptionally warm. There were no fewer than three official heatwaves in the Netherlands, something we rarely experience here. The sun ripened the fruit perfectly, with an excellent balance between sugar and acidity.
The harvest started on 3 September and was completed by 1 October. This was the earliest end to the harvest in the history of the Apostelhoeve. The grapes we picked are of unprecedented quality: compact, healthy and rich in aroma. Fermentation in the cellar is now coming to an end, and everything points to 2025 going down in the books as one of the finest years ever.
If everything goes according to plan, the 2025 harvest will be on the market at the end of March 2026. We will, of course, keep you informed and look forward to sharing the results of this exceptional year with you.
