GrapeViognier is an aromatic white grape variety known for its rich aromas and full-bodied flavours. Originally from the Rhône valley in France, it is a grape that requires a lot of attention and has relatively low yields, so the wines are often concentrated and complex |
Taste and foodpairingThe Viognier grapes are 50% cool fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruity aromas. The other 50% fermented in new oak barrels, with weekly batches of bâtonnage. Malolactic fermentation took place in these barrels in February, which gave the wine extra creaminess and complexity. The two parts were then blended together to create a harmonious blend. Viognier goes well with creamy fish and seafood dishes, Asian food, grilled meats, roasted vegetables and soft cheeses. |
